Golden Church, la Chiesa d'Oro

Heart of Venice, San Mark's Basilica, the "Golden Church" has been built from the 9th Century to shelter the relics of St Marco the Evangelist, brought from Alexandria in 828 by two merchants of Torcello and Malamocco.

Nice photo. But, how did you get it? We were told no photography in St. Mark’s.
