Caffè Florian


Established in 1720, the Florian is said to be the oldest italian coffee house in continuous operation.

Great shot, Pierre! I usually head for that bar in the back, where you don't pay the premium for sitting (except you usually can sit because there are a couple of comfy stools).

Opened in 1720 by Floriano Francesconi with the name of "Venice Triumphant". In 1773 succeeded his nephew Valentino changing the name "Florian" in memory of his grandfather
