Quattro chiacchiere

Talk is by far the most accessible of pleasures. It costs nothing in money, it is all profit, it completes our education, founds and fosters our friendships, and can be enjoyed at any age and in almost any state of health.

One of my favourite Italian words is chiacchierare, and it sounds so good spoken by a true Italian!

I see only three chit-chatters here (guess the fourth is just out of the frame on the right)—but I do think I recognize our little Caffé in Campo Santa Margherita.

Yes, even without the red door!

And this is what I love abut Italy! People actually talk to each other more than they text or email.

Alexa -'quattro chiacchiere' means "chat" not
four people chatting

To Anonymous--thanks for the translation. Like Alexa, I thought it meant 4 chatting. To Pierre--wonderful street shot. Italians love talking. And they are so good at it.

Perhaps the "Quattro" includes the glimpse of a dog, hiding modestly behind the tartan shopping trolley?!?Just a thought....
