For me it's rhe place where I arrive when I come to Venice (and live just around the corner) and where I leave it - so it's both, happy and unhappy. But what I find most fascinating with this photo is the "composition" of the three persons in the foreground - just magnificent. (And perhaps the statistical ratio permanent cell-phone-users and non-permanent cell-phone-users in Italy.

Have to agree with Andrew, Pierre. I've only ever been here because I was leaving Venice—so not a happy place for me.
